Conventions Of A Magazine Cover

I decided to research the conventions of a magazine cover, as I think this will benefit me when it comes to making my own magazine ( front cover) as I can refer back to my research.
I laid out my image , and labelled all the conventions I could find. I duplicated this slide and highlighted each aspect as I covered it. I ensured I went into some depth with each convention to show my understanding and to help myself if I were to forget or need help in re-explaining something later on in the course. Each convention I pasted the magazine cover on each slide then circled the convention in which I had zoomed in on and explained.

Preliminary Task

Using Desktop Publisher ( DTP ) and an image manipulation program, produce the front page of a new school/college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close up plus some appropriately laid out text and a masthead. Additionally you must produce a mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate their grasp of Desktop Publisher (DTP)
