Example test shots
Two Shot ; Medium close upI believe this image is framed quiet well and the positioning of both the models its good however I believe the Lighting needs work as I find that its quiet dark. |
One shot; Medium shotI believe this shot is on a good angle however the lighting is a bit to dark and the definition of the face isn't great. |
Evidence Of Photoshoot.
These where images taken at our test photo shoot, Some allowed us to see and understand that some shot
types just don't work. Along with certain angles and lighting not working. This Photo shoot also allowed us to begin to understand framing, and spacial awareness to allow space for our mastheads, and feature stories.

Female Costume/Outfit Ideas
When looking at pop I have found many artists wear casual outfits. The casual dress with the heels is a conventional dress type for young artists such as cher lloyd in this image.
Colour Scheme Research
When looking at these magazines and their colour schemes I can see that they often contain Black and/or white this is a tone colour in which then they have their main colour in which is bold and stands out from everything else. colours such as red and yellow are bold and are really eye catching where as pinks and lilacs are softer.
When looking at the example magazines I really like the Pink, white, and Black colour scheme , along with the Lilac , black and white. These influences have allowed me to take a look at some schemes I may personally choose.
When Looking at these my favourites are pink , white, black and white , lilac and pink.

Focus group Response
When filming my focus group, I asked relevant
questions in which will help me with my decisions, My focus group video helped
me to decided a price in which is going to be ‘ £1.99’. I found that many
people tend to want to buy the magazine instead of have it as an app, as they
have a preference to have the actual item. My general findings from this
research was;
That depending on the size and contents of the magazine, would depend on how often my focus group would want it to be issued. When speaking to my focus group I found that they would have a preference to music or fashion freebies things such as vouchers would work well. Also when looking at my focus group I found that people do not tend to share there magazines, in which makes spreading the word harder to do. People are most likely to buy a magazine fortnightly. Also when I asked my focus group how often they buy a music magazine they responded with ‘ that they don’t go out to buy a magazine and only buy on if it catch’s their eye or has a popular artist upon the front cover’. This has helped me understand that my front cover must be a be eye catching this may affect my colour scheme and fonts as it need to stand out from the other magazines on the shelf in which leads me to research the typical magazines of chosen genre to ensure mine is conventional yet eye catching.

Testing Font
As a way to decide upon my Masthead and fonts I decided to create a mood board of fonts. For me when looking at these I think my Masthead should be in one of the following fonts ;
- Impact
- Ultra
- Bangers
- Arial Blank
For me when looking at these I think my feature story fonts should be in one of the following fonts ;
- Geo Sans Light
- Sue Ellen Francisco
- Billbo swash CAPS
- La Belle Aurore
- Times New Roman.
